ridicully: (Default)

The weather is nice and it's early morning. Which would be ideal conditions to make another trip to Roslin. But I'm so tired that even the decision of going over the road to the small animal hospital to make this entry wasn't easy.

But I wanted to check make sure again everyone I know to be in London was ok. (Incidentally, it just proves Murphy's Law again, that even if you've just complained about the long periods of nothing to do in your job, something happens that makes you want to check the news constantly and right this moment you'll suddenly have hardly time for a toilet break.)

Everyone seems as fine as they can be. I'll now copy the reaction of everyone else here upon hearing the news "A bombing in London? Oh, terrible." *back to business*
ridicully: (Oh No!)
Things to be grateful for (Ok, so 'grateful' is the wrong word):

07/07 is one of the few dates that can't be written in a way that'll send me into a fit (and considering everyone is linking to [livejournal.com profile] london_070705 this is a good thing).

If you insist on putting the month before the day, at least be consistent. 9/11/01 (and I've acutally seen this) is simply *wrong*. There's no logic in it. Either it's largest unit of timekeeping/slightly smaller unit of timekeeping/even smaller unit of timekeeping or the other way round. You can't arrange them however you like. [And quite frankly I like to put the thing that is of the most interest in front. So it's hours/minutes/seconds and day/month/year. It makes sense. Trust me.]
