And yet another of those pointless entries.

Ummm, if the milk in my coffee is clotting - does that indicate that maybe it's past it's use by date?
This message brought to you by "Yes I'm really a complete idiot when dealing with food." and its cousin "What do you mean 'how does it taste?' it's edible, that's more than enough."

And now the really exciting news (well, for me anyway - and I'm excited by the sun coming up in the east)
My Life of Brian DVD arrived.
Life is good.

Yes: it's "turned". It will make the coffee taste peculiar, too.

On the upside, turned milk makes excellent scones.

Scones

But that would surely require something like flour or butter

Yes, I'm afraid so. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/bakery/15824.html)

And eternally amazed by those food posts you and others occasionally do.

And my journal isn't even the place where I post most of the food posts!

Yes, [livejournal.com profile] bakery. Also [livejournal.com profile] steelchefs, [livejournal.com profile] food_porn, [livejournal.com profile] la_flaneuse, and [livejournal.com profile] veggie_recipes...

([livejournal.com profile] food_porn is an excellent and very busy community, and normally very good about using lj-cut for long/photo-rich entries. Unfortunately one twit has just single-handedly reversed that record.)

Yesterday, I discovered yoghurt in my fridge that had its expiration date on March 7th. Ich sag dazu jetzt nix...

This is totally random . . . ::grin::

Have you read Stephen King's "Eyes of the Dragon?" And if the answer is "no," would you like to read it? I have a copy of it in German, which I've had for years and years hoping that someday my German would be good enough to read it. I think you and I both know *that* day isn't happening anytime soon ::grin::

So, I thought I'd see if you'd like me to send it to you. After you read it, you could even do a BookCrossing release if you like (or you can keep it if you really enjoyed it). If you'd like me to send it, please send your address to me at here_be_dragons at livejournal dot com.
