I just love the feeling of sandpaper on the inside of my lids when I wake up at 5 after only 4 hours of sleep.
Lovely

And I could live without having to actually think (something I haven't done in some weeks) in a discussion abut vegan cat food. But I could live even better without the name calling of the militant vegans.
I'm eating corpses! I'm so very bad! And I actually support those who say that cats are naturally corpse-eaters! How dare I? How can I suggest that their vegan cat may actually eat mice or bird when it is outside? Don't I see that the cat would never do such a cruel and disgusting thing?

Disclaimer:
I absolutely accept that people are vegetarians or vegans. As long as they let me eat my corpses - not necessarily in front of them - and don't insult me, we can all live happy and in peace.

And, yet, the argument that to the cat it's not a cruel or disgusting thing never seems to go over very well. "Oooh, crunchy bones! *chomp*slurp*munch*"

I'm entirely with you - actually, I'm worse, I like meat and I make no bones about it (ha, ha). After all, if animals weren't meant to be eaten, why would they be so tasty?

Dogs, like humans, are omnivores. They'll eat anything.

Cats are carnivores. I'm vegetarian. I see no contradiction in this: I'm doing what I see as best for me, my cats are getting the food that's best for them. (You can, I believe, now buy extremely expensive vegan catfood that provides all the necessary nutrients and doesn't give a cat diarrhea. However, you have to feed a kitten on it from infancy to get it to eat it at all, and if the cat can go out and hunt for meaty titbits to compensate it will do so.)

I see vegetarians/vegans who insist on their cats being vegetarian/vegan too, as fundamentally no different from those idiots who dress cats up in cute little baby doll clothes.

I think that's the opinion of most vegetarians/vegans (cue 'some of my best friends are...'), but this militant fraction made me really angry.

They claim to want to free animals (and work against speciesism), but refuse to let their cats go outside unsupervised, in case they would want to hunt.
But as they not only work against 'corpse-eaters' but also claim that vegetarians are murderers I know shouldn't take them too serious.
