Driveby entry

I passed a minivan, packed to the roof with bike parts plus a trailer full of bikes, from the Netherlands today that was apparently (at least according to the writing on the trailer) on it's way to Beijing for the Olympics.
Everything else aside, that's a seriously long drive.

Also, I'd be much happier if my official two years at the clinic would be over now and not in two months, because all the vet schools offering residencies in anaesthesia put up their announcements now with closing dates for the end of April and while having to wait for a whole year because of this month is not the end of the world, it's still a bit annoying.

In theory, that's a good idea. Practiacally speaking is this the clinic where they occasionally, legal requirements aside, refuse to attest that you've been there for a certain amount of time, let alone write letters of recommendation. So, I guess I'd better not try it. It's not too bad, I won't have finished my dissertation by then anyway and once I'm away from here, I'm afraid I'll never do. I just need to dream about a perfect world occasionally *g*

Yikes. That sucks. Although I was thinking that you could talk to the other people whose deadline is the end of this month. :)
