Phone call from my father yesterday at 6:30 p.m.:
Why I didn't give the guys the lights sensors.
Because he told me to give them the those two boxes and these cartons and that bag.
But that box was standing there too, and why didn't I call him.
No it didn't and I did, but he wasn't available at the moment.
Anyway, they needed those sensors, and could I get in the car and drive there.
Urgh! Not much of a choice, was there? Where too?
Papenburg.
Huh?
Between Bremen and the border to the Netherlands.
Wuh? I won't be there before 11p.m., at the earliest.
Yes. If I were too tired to drive back immediately I could get a room for the night.
Lovely. Bye.

So, I spent the next four to five hours driving (or standing in a 10 km traffic jam), so I could hand over some light sensors, so they can properly measure the attempts to beat some record.
And then, because I'm an idiot, I drove back for 2 hours, slept for two hours in my car (yay for mini-vans and sleeping bags) on some rest area and then drove until it was 6 a.m. and I was home.

I could have used that evening to do something *useful*. (Well, I could! And the moon could fall down on the earth.)

To the radio station who did the report on "Two families in Germany, East and West, fifteen years after the reunification.":
Could you please get the dates right? The Berlin Wall fell 15 years ago on November 9th. The official reunification date was 14 years ago on October 3rd. It's not really hard and would safe me screaming at my radio every time the moderators say it wrong.
And since I'm already screaming at it every time they misuse a dative while ignoring a poor little genitive, this would be a Very Good Thing.
