Why me?

Why do I have to pick the one day every post office in an area of 100km is closed, due to some mandatory meeting of the employees, to have several letters on which I can't just stick a stamp and put in the box?
Why do the people in the call center have no idea which offices are closed?
And who is responsible for scheduling this meeting? I want to hurt them.
