Oh, when I wrote that, I'd just caught myself writing more or less the following sentence in my dissertation/thesis/whatever:

"During general anaesthesia, behavioural mechanisms of temperature regulation (curling up, finding company for sharing body warmth) are impeded"

Too bad I'm not allowed to put post-it's with things like "d'Oh", "No shit?" or "Who would have thought,..." into the finished thing *g*
