A WHW-Terrier pup, its diarrhea and me trying to get its temperature didn't mix very well. I think this ought to make me question my chosen profession more than it did.

There's a tiny little fabric shop at the end of a microscopic alley off the street where the carriage horses stand, which had the most exquisite Indian brocade silks I'd ever seen in my life. I found it my first day there, and I couldn't buy any because I didn't know how far I was going to have to make my budget stretch for the next two weeks.
I never found it again, and in fact, don't think I could do so at gunpoint now. It seems to have been one of those passing moments you look back on all your life...
