Oh fuck

Calling Julia to wish her luck for her exam tomorrow - good idea.
Not paying very much attention to the news and failing to remember that she's from Spain - very bad idea.

[ETA: And what exactly does it say about me, that I'm only skimming the BBC headlines and go "Politics, war, war, a bit of sport, bombing, politics - wait a second bombing in Madrid? Oh yes, eta, I remember - politics, war. Hmm, anything out of the ordinary? No, don't think so."]
