Some blah and some blergh
Finished TLB Friday night at 2, finished Night Watch yesterday at 8, finished the Trek-fic at 10.
Didn't went to work on Friday (how lucky that I can decide myself when/if I want to go) but went on the date on Thursday - very strange, even though we talked quite nicely and there weren't too many awkward pauses, part of me was thinking the whole time 'Is there any special reason I'm here?'. Oh well, as long as he doesn't decide to mail me again I'll file it as a nice, if somewhat strange, evening.
Oh yes, I'm a terribly emotional person.
Some disconnected (and I mean disconnected) thoughts on TLB:
Angst! Pain! People who hurt each other even though they (seem to?) love each other. Harry with problems. Snape with problems. Angst. Sirius caring for Severus (in his own way). Angst. Severus wanting beacon.
"Hmm. Obnoxious brat," Severus muttered.
Harry shrugged again and put his chin on his folded hands. "You probably ought to get to work," he said in a soft voice. - OUCH! If I'd be a person who cries, this would have been the place.
Harry/Severus Eversor impersonations. Angst. A Ginny who hates it, but deals with an unwanted pregnancy the way she thinks best. Severus hope that was clearly doomed from the beginning. In one word: ANGST!
I love that wizards actually wear robes and no trousers (but I loved this since Marching Of To War).
The word 'husband' didn't irritate me, as it normally does, because it was actually addressed in the fic.
Broken/stubborn/angsty/cruel/hurt Severus and Harry are just so *real*.
Molly Weasley. The whole Weasley family.
I think I'll have to read it some more times till I understand everything that's happening. The Blaise-as-his-own-secret-keeper thing makes me go "Huh?"
and some more on Night Watch:
Time travel. Sir Vimes. A brightly burning tiger. Ickle hero-worshipping Sam. The dog-botherer. Rosie Palm. Reg Shoe and his terribly unrealistic ideals. Ankh-Morporks very own Dr.Mengele.
"I'd be very worried if I saw a man singing the national anthem and waving the flag, sir. It's really a thing foreigners do."
And I really want to know what the thing with the ginger beer is. Hopefully someone asked this last year on AFP.

I wonder where all the extroverts are, everyone on LJ seems to be an introvert.

wonderful, and kind, our world suffers from the
lack of such people as you.

And one last thing:
I've only been here for three days, but already there are dogs hairs everywhere. I hate this!
