*points at phone post* And this would be the reason why the sentence I'm most familiar with is "Could you say that a bit more slowly?" especially when I'm using a language I actually know how to speak.

But even after some hours to calm down, I'm still very excited. Until I remember that I'll have to speak English. Ask questions in English. Then I'm terrified.

I seriously doubt that you have to worry about your English. Judging by your LJ, your English is wonderful! And the Scots are (sweeping generalisation ahead) lovely and friendly people.
