I'm really easy to amuse

  1. Go to London with someone who went to school in Spain.
  2. Go to Trafalgar Square.
  3. Watch them think for a while 'Who is it?'
  4. Mention Lord Nelson
  5. Repeat step 3
  6. Mention the Spanish Armada
  7. Hear them say "Ahh, Trafalgar" with a spanish accent and then "I only know him as the bad guy."

I loved reading this. Really funny. But true, as well. One culture's heroes are someone else's enemies. Unless you're me living in the U.S. right now, in which case you also consider many of your own country's heroes to be the enemy. ;-)

Although I can't say I know much about Lord Nelson. Something about a ship ::yes, I'm hopelessly ignorant about some things:: I just like Trafalgar Square because the lions are cool, and I'm in love with the National Gallery.

Urgh! *So* jealous of my friends who are in London right now. And I'm stuck here in California.

It's. Just. Not. Fair.
