I can live with the arbitrary grades - as long as the same arbitrary rules apply to everyone. That's why I hate oral exams so much, one day the examiner wakes up with a headache and everyone who has an exam that day gets a worse grade than those who had an exam after he won the lottery. And there's no way to prove it.
